How the Ukrainian IBAN works
The Ukrainian IBAN consists of 29 characters: the country code UA, two check digits, the bank's six-digit MFO code and 19 digits of the account number. It follows the ISO 13616 standard.

The tool checks only the IBAN format, length and MOD-97 checksum; it does not confirm that the account exists, identify a bank, or verify NBU status.

What is IBAN and why is it needed?
IBAN is an international bank account number under the ISO 13616 standard. In Ukraine it is mandatory for transfers, including to Europe. This tool checks format and checksum only; it does not confirm the bank or account status.
How many characters are in a Ukrainian IBAN?
Exactly 29: two letters UA, two check digits, six MFO digits and nineteen account digits. The MFO field is part of the format, not proof of a bank relationship.
